Labor and Employment Law

As counsel to a number of businesses, the firm provides advice and litigates all aspects of labor and employment law.  The firm also screens and accepts select cases for employees who have experienced adverse job actions.  This area of practice includes drafting employment contracts and analyzing contracts drafted by others, including physician employment contracts.  The firm provides advice and litigates cases involving all areas of state and federal employment law, including covenants not to compete, the Fair Labor Standards Act, minimum wage and overtime laws, and the Family Medical Leave Act.  For both public and private entities, we provide advice and representation in cases before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, in court on discrimination and violation of civil rights and constitutional rights, and in administrative unemployment hearings.  We advise clients on the contents of their personnel policy handbooks and can draft the handbooks and related forms for them.
